Interactive Learning Railway
Compatible with Thomas Wooden Railway System
When considering how to use semi-conductors to make the trains of their Thomas Wooden Railway line more interactive, designers struggled with fitting the electronic components and keeping the structural integrity of the wood body. After the instant success of Take Along, it was decided to make the trains out of die cast metal and all other parts plastic, while still being entirely compatible with Wooden train systems. Using electrical contacts, destinations will recognize trains when they pass and instruct the user to complete a task. Interactive Learning Railway would receive products for two years.
